In the current year, the norelem ACADEMY has supported students of the Infinity Racing team from the University of Kempten. The aim was to develop a loading system for the transport of Formula Student vehicles.

Every team in racing knows this problem: how can vehicles be easily and safely loaded and transported to and from competitions? In junior racing sport, vehicles weighing more than 200kg often have to be lifted by 4 people by the tyres, sometimes in narrow transporters. Even before the actual day of the race, the risk of injury is high and often damage such as scratches or bumps on the vehicle follow, which sometimes have to be repaired at high cost.

The 3-part loading system, developed by the Infinity Racing Team, is the perfect solution. With the help of standard parts, a frame was designed which is permanently installed above the wheel housings of the transporter. On top of this frame an extension frame with winch is mounted. The racing car is now placed on the pull-out frame and the cable winch pulls the frame together with the car over the ramp into the transporter.

Our aluminium profiles ensure the necessary stability of the racks and our deep groove ball bearings ensure a smooth loading process. norelem angle sets were also installed in the loading system.
