Angela Merkel receives the German WorldSkills Team
After a great WorldSkills Championship, the German national team was honoured with an invitation from the Chancellor. After having successfully participated in the WorldSkills Championship for 2019 in Kazan, this was a worthy finish for the team. Team Germany won two gold, three bronze and 19 excellence medals at the WorldSkills in Kazan, Russia at the end of August.
In her speech, the Chancellor emphasised the importance of well-trained specialists in order to maintain the high level of quality associated with the label “Made in Germany”. Ms Merkel also emphasised that it is important to have people who take a practical approach to life. An evening reception with guests from the worlds of politics, business and education was followed by an appropriate celebration.
